ECONOMIC AND CONSTRUCTION BOOM IN MYANMAR PAVES THE WAY FOR FURTHER HVAC DEVELOPMENT

MIVAR – Myanmar’s No. 1 International Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Show has made a significant impact in delivering key decision makers and buyers in the industry. The expo will be back again this year, bigger and better, at the MEP Mindama in Yangon from 16 to 18 November 2018.

According to a report by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Myanmar’s GDP growth rate is forecasted at 8% in 2018, signalling Myanmar’s high economic growth. This is supported by a report by Timetric’s Construction Intelligence Center that Myanmar’s construction industry is expected to experience an average annual growth rate of 10.37% between 2016 and 2020. Meanwhile, the Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Association Industry reported that overall air-conditioning demand in Myanmar has grown from 80,000 units in 2012 to over 206,000 units in 2016. Such growth in Myanmar’s construction and HVAC industries has created a huge demand for M&E equipment and services, particularly in air-conditioning and ventilation systems.

MIVAR 2018 intends to continue build on the success of the expo’s previous editions, and is expected to bring over 200 international brands. These brands will be grouped in Pavilions representing China, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, India and Thailand, and attract more than 10,000 visitors.

MIVAR 2018 is the number one event for HVACR professionals to gather and update on the latest products and brands in the market, and will be held in conjunction with MYANBUILD 2018, the biggest building and construction event in Myanmar. Whether your objective is to conduct market feasibility studies, seek local partners and distributors, increase existing market share in Myanmar, or simply just to maintain relationships with key clients while looking for new opportunities with foreign partners, you can be certain to meet your objectives at this expo. MIVAR 2018 will present a wealth of business opportunities while continuing to support the Myanmar’s HVACR needs.
